Pulwama: In third phase of the District Development Council (DDC) elections being held across Jammu and Kashmir, south Kashmir’s Pulwama district recorded 4.63% votes till 11 am.
The district’s second constituency witnessed 1,151 votes out of 24,824 votes till 9 am. The highest votes 228 were polled in Dadoora, Ruhmu recorded 170, Murran 110, Karimabad 160, Wajam 75, Mitrigam 25, Bosu 31, Waibug 90, Wagoom 100 and three votes were recorded in Chivaykalan.
Pertinently, the voting is being conducted in 33 constituencies, including 16 from Kashmir division and 17 from Jammu division, for which 2046 polling stations including 792 in Jammu division and 1254 in Kashmir division have been setup for the conduct of elections in a smooth manner.
Meanwhile, in view of the elections, authorities have suspended Internet services in the district.
